Ring List is built with AI at its core. Claude, Anthropic’s AI, works alongside you across the app: each morning it plans your day and tells you what needs your attention, it adds, changes and finds tasks when you just say what you want, it picks the right icon for each section, it sorts the lists you bring in from Google Keep into task lists and plain lists, and it will do much more as Ring List grows. It plans and suggests; you decide, and Undo takes back anything it does.
To help, the words a feature needs (for your morning plan, or for what you ask it, your open tasks) are sent to Anthropic to be worked on. Anthropic doesn’t use them to train its AI (Anthropic’s policy). Ring List works without AI, but you’d miss much of what it can do for you. You can change this anytime in Settings.
Something not working, or an idea? Tell us. Your words go to the people making Ring List, with a few facts to help: the app’s version, the page you’re on, your browser and screen, and any errors the page hit. Your lists aren’t sent unless you tick the box.
They get an email with a link to it. Someone not on Ring List yet is invited.
No label has those words.
How long the ring runs when you choose ⏱️ Focus on this.
On this device: reminders, tasks due at a time, and the morning “No plan yet today” arrive as notifications, even with Ring List closed. A list can be left out from its ring’s menu.
For reminders and tasks due at a time. The emails go to the address you sign in with, 20 a day at most. This setting is the same on all your devices.
On a phone, choose Add to Home Screen or Install app in the browser’s menu (in Chrome on Android it says Install and create shortcut: then choose Install, not Create shortcut; on an iPhone, use the Share menu). On a computer, choose Install in the address bar or the browser’s menu. It then opens like an app, even with no connection, and on Android you can share text, photos and PDFs to it from other apps.
Drag this to your bookmarks bar (or favorites bar), then press it on any page to add that page here.
Or press Copy, make a new bookmark, and paste it as the bookmark’s address.
Once a day, tasks you finished (or closed as Won’t do) more than 30 days ago are deleted from your lists. A finished task with a subtask still open stays, and the Light you earned stays. A list shared with you follows its owner’s setting. This setting is the same on all your devices.

Heavier (the default) makes the text a little bolder, which can be easier to read, especially on a phone.

The first time you open Ring List each day with nothing planned, a note offers to plan your day. “Ask each morning” stops by itself after you choose “Not now” three days in a row; “Always ask” keeps asking. This setting is the same on all your devices.
Ring List can read your calendars: Today’s Plan shows the day’s events, and the morning plan plans less on a busy day. Only how busy you are goes to Claude, never what your events are.
Connected: .
Show in Today’s Plan:
An event for today always goes to the Inbox.
Google Calendar also has your due dates from the link below, in a calendar that can’t be changed there, so each one shows twice. Remove that one in Google Calendar: it’s the “Ring List” under Other calendars; open its ⋮ and choose Unsubscribe. This note goes a day or two after.
Your due dates will stop going to Google Calendar. Keep the “Ring List” calendar there, as it is now, or delete it?
An Outlook, iCloud or other calendar, by the address it gives for reading it:
Anyone with the address can see the calendar, so Ring List keeps it encrypted. Your calendar app updates what it gives out on its own schedule, so new events can take a few hours to show.
See your due dates in your calendar: your open tasks with a due date show there, and keep up as you change them. Add them to:
Anyone who has the link can see those tasks’ words, so keep it to yourself. Your calendar checks for changes on its own schedule: Google’s can take several hours, sometimes a day.
Calendars using the link you have now will stop updating, until you add the new one to them.
Ring List is built with AI at its core: Claude, Anthropic’s AI, works alongside you across the app. Each morning it plans your day (see below), the ✨ at the top lets you add, change or find tasks just by saying what you want, it picks an icon for a section title Ring List doesn’t recognize, after an import from Google Keep it suggests which new lists are plain lists, and more is on the way. The words a feature needs (for the morning plan and ✨, your open tasks; for an icon, the section’s title; after a Keep import, the new lists’ names and first few items) are sent to Anthropic to be worked on; Anthropic doesn’t use them to train its AI (Anthropic’s policy). With it off, nothing is sent to Anthropic. Ring List still works, and icons Claude has already picked still show, but you miss what AI adds. Your tasks change only when you say so (✨ shows what it will do and waits for your OK; the morning plan just puts some of them in Today’s Plan; Undo takes either back). This setting is the same on all your devices.

Send or forward an email here, and Ring List offers its tasks for you to accept the next time you open it (with AI on, Claude picks them out, with their dates and details). Keep it to yourself: anyone who has it can send you tasks to accept.
The address you have now will stop working, and emails sent to it will be lost.
Apps like Claude or ChatGPT that you’ve let into your Ring List (to connect one, add Ring List to it as a connector at ). What they change shows as done by them, and can be undone.
