Add an Outlook, iCloud or other calendar
Copy your calendar’s address from Outlook or iCloud and paste it into Ring List. Its events then show in Today’s Plan, above your tasks.
Any calendar that gives out an address for reading it can show its events in Today’s Plan. It takes two steps: copy the address in your calendar app, then paste it into Ring List. You don’t need Google for this.
In Outlook
On a computer, at outlook.com:
- Open Calendar, then Settings (the gear) › Calendar › Shared calendars.
- Under Publish a calendar, choose your calendar and Can view all details, then press Publish.
- Two links appear. Copy the ICS link, not the HTML one.
In iCloud
On an iPhone
- Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars.
- Tap ⓘ beside the calendar.
- Turn on Public Calendar, then tap Share Link › Copy.
On a Mac
- Open the Calendar app.
- Point at the calendar’s name in the list on the left and click its Share Calendar button.
- Select Public Calendar, then copy the link that appears.
In Ring List

- Open Settings › Plan, and under Calendar press Add another calendar…
- Paste the address in the box and press Add.
A note says Added, with the calendar’s name, and its events show in Today’s Plan. You can add up to five.
Good to know
- It isn’t instant. Your calendar app updates what it gives out on its own schedule, so new events can take a few hours to show.
- Keep the address private. Anyone who has it can see your calendar. Ring List keeps it encrypted.
- To take it away, press Remove beside its name in Settings › Plan. To stop sharing it altogether, turn off publishing in Outlook, or Public Calendar in iCloud.
- A Google calendar? Connect Google Calendar instead: changes show sooner.
