Share to Ring List from other apps
On Android, share a page, words, a photo or a PDF to Ring List. On a computer, a bookmark adds the page you’re on. Each becomes an Inbox task.
Something in another app you need to deal with? Send it to Ring List, and it’s an Inbox task, ready to file later.
Share from an Android phone
First, install Ring List on the phone: until it’s installed, it isn’t in the Share menu.
- In any app, tap Share.
- Pick Ring List.
Ring List opens on the Inbox with the new task, and Undo in the note.
- A web page comes in with the page’s title as its words, and the page as a link under it.
- Words come in as they are.
- A photo or a PDF is attached under the task. Type its words straight away: they replace Picture or the file’s name.
On an iPhone, Ring List isn’t in the Share menu. Copy and paste instead, or email it to Ring List.
Add a page from your computer’s browser
A bookmark adds the page you’re on, with its link.

Set it up once
- In Ring List, click the gear at the top right, then General.
- Under Add from your browser, drag ★ Add to Ring List to your bookmarks bar.
No bookmarks bar? Click Copy, make a new bookmark, and paste it as the bookmark’s address.
Use it
On any page, click ★ Add to Ring List in your bookmarks bar. Ring List opens in a new tab with the page as a task. Select some words on the page first, and they become the task’s words instead of the page’s title.
File it
To put one of these tasks in a list, open its menu and choose Add to a list…. See Inbox tasks and the Inbox.
