Empty your head
Get everything on your mind into Ring List fast, in whatever way is nearest, without sorting it. Then sort the Inbox later, in one go.
When your head is full, get it all down first and sort it later. Don’t stop to pick a list or a date: the point is speed.

Get it all down
Use whichever is nearest:
- Type a list. On Today’s Plan, press + at the top right and Add a task for today. Type one thing, press Enter, type the next. From any page, the tray button at the top right adds one too.
- Paste or say a messy paragraph. With AI on, press ✨, pour it all in (“renew passport before March, call the plumber, mom’s birthday Saturday…”) and press Next. Each thing comes back as a task of its own, with its date, in the list it fits. Untick any you don’t want and press Do these. See Tell Ring List.
- Talk. Open Talkpad, tap the ring and say it all. Press Add these when you’re done.
- At night, in the dark. On your phone, write it with a finger on Nitepad and save it. It’s waiting in the morning.
- From your email. Forward the email to your own Ring List address. See Email to Ring List.
With AI on, ✨, Talkpad and email put each task in the list it fits. Everything else lands in the Inbox, and stays out of your plan until you put it there.
Sort it later
When you have a few minutes, open the Inbox: on Today’s Plan, press the view button (first in the tool bar) and choose Inbox. For each task:
- Two minutes or less? Do it now and tick it off.
- Not worth doing? Delete it: swipe it left, or on a computer click its ✕.
- Otherwise, open its menu (on a phone, tap the task and then ⋯; on a computer, right-click it) and choose Add to a list….
