Settings, tab by tab

Every setting in Ring List, tab by tab, with what it does and whether it follows you to all your devices or stays on this one.

Tap or click ⚙ at the top right of any page, then a tab along the top. Every change takes effect at once: there’s no Save button.

All your devices means a setting follows you everywhere. This device means you set it on each phone and computer.

General

Focus: how long the focus ring runs. Shows once you’ve used focus. This device.
Notifications: reminders and more as notifications. This device.
Email me reminders: reminders by email: When no device can be notified, Always or Never. All your devices.
Install Ring List: how to install it. Gone once it’s installed.
Add from your browser: a bookmark that adds the page you’re on. Computer only.
Clear away finished tasks: deletes old finished tasks. All your devices.

Daily plan reminder: how often it offers to plan your day. All your devices.
Weekdays only: weekends off for Today’s Plan. All your devices.
Calendar: your calendars in Today’s Plan, and your due dates in them. All your devices.

Your labels: make new ones, put them in order, rename, merge or delete them. The same on all your devices.

Then four options to tick on or off. All are This device.

New tasks created with Enter inherit the priority of the task above. On to start.
While you drag a section or subsection on the main list, hide all tasks so the drag is short. On to start.
On a computer, hide the + and ⊞ on a section or subsection title unless the pointer is over it. Off to start. Grayed out on a phone, where they’re always there.
Removing a task’s ! (so it’s no longer important) turns “Important only” off. On to start.
