When something isn’t right
Quick answers for the common snags: a task that’s gone, changes missing on another device, no notifications, signing in, an old version, AI used up.
A task disappeared
- A moment ago? Press Undo in the note at the bottom, or ↶ at the top of the list. See Undo.
- Finished? Turn on Show finished at the top of the list.
- Only important tasks showing? Turn off Important only at the top of the list.
- Snoozed? It’s out of sight until its day. Choose Snoozed from the view button, the first in the tool bar. See Snooze.
- Moved to another list? Search every list with Search All.
Changes don’t show on my other device
- Look at the top right of the page on the device you changed it on. If it says Offline, the change is waiting there and is saved when that device is connected again.
- Check that both are signed in with the same email: Settings › Account shows which.
See Your phone, your computer, and no connection.
No notifications arrive
Notifications are turned on for each device on its own. On that device, open Settings › General, set Notifications to On, then press Send a test. If nothing comes, press ⓘ beside Notifications for what your phone or computer needs. On an iPhone, Ring List must be installed first. More in Notifications.
I can’t sign in
The code works once, for 15 minutes: press Send a new code for another, and look in your spam folder. Ring List is invite-only for now, so only invited emails can sign in. See Sign in and out.
Ring List looks out of date
When there’s a new version, a note says Ring List has been updated: press Reload. You can also find Reload in Settings › Account, beside the version.
“You’ve used today’s AI”
Each person can ask Claude only so much a day, and a month. Everything else in Ring List works as usual without it: add and plan tasks by hand, and try ✨ again tomorrow (it starts over at your midnight), or, for You’ve used this month’s AI, next month.
