All Lists

All Lists shows the tasks of every list together, so you can see your top priorities, what’s due and what you’re waiting on everywhere at once.

All Lists on a phone in Top Priorities: tasks from several lists, each with a stripe in its list's color and where it lives under its words

All Lists is the second ring on Ring Lists. It shows the tasks of all your lists in one place, in the views you know from a list:

  • Search All: find any task. See Find a task.
  • Top Priorities: your most important tasks from everywhere.
  • Urgent & Important, What’s Due, Calendar, Waiting On, Logbook and Snoozed.

There’s no Full List here: a list’s sections stay in the list.

Work with the tasks

Each task has a stripe in its list’s color and, under its words, where it lives, such as “House › This week”. Tap or click that to go to the task in its list. ‹ brings you back.

You can tick tasks off, edit them, change their priority and labels, snooze and delete them, as in a list. Each change is saved in the task’s own list. The one thing you can’t do here is add a task: open its list to do that.

What’s left out

  • Inbox tasks aren’t in All Lists, not even in Search All. They’re on Today’s Plan and in its Inbox.
  • Plain lists are left out of the views, since their items aren’t tasks to do. Search All still finds them. See Plain lists.
  • The sample list isn’t in All Lists, not even in Search All: what’s in it shows only in it. See The sample list.
