Email tasks to Ring List
You have an email address of your own for Ring List. Forward an email to it, and Ring List offers its tasks for you to accept.
Forward an email to your own Ring List address, and its tasks are waiting for you the next time you open Ring List.

Find your address
- Tap the gear at the top right, then Account.
- Under Email to Ring List, tap Copy, and save it as a contact in your mail app.
Send an email in
Forward the email to your address, or write a new one. Above a forwarded email, you can say what you want: “Pay this by Friday”.
When it arrives, a note at the bottom of Ring List says Your email “…” has a task for you. It stays until you answer it. With notifications on, you get one of those too.
- Tap Review.
- Untick any task you don’t want.
- Tap Do it (or Do these).
Undo in the note takes them back. Not now puts the email off until you next open Ring List, and closing the card says no to it.
What arrives
- With AI on, Claude picks out what to do, with its date, in the list it fits. Details worth keeping, like an address or a confirmation number, go in the task’s note. Untick Claude puts each task in the list it fits to have them all come in as Inbox tasks instead.
- With AI off, it’s one Inbox task. Its words are the email’s subject, and its note is the email.
Every task’s note ends with (from forwarded email on the day it was sent**)**, so you know where it came from.
Good to know
- An email only ever adds tasks. It can’t change, finish or delete one.
- Attachments aren’t kept, and a very long email is cut short.
- Your address takes up to 30 emails a day. Spam and automatic replies are dropped.
- On a Mac, you can also drag an email out of Apple Mail or Outlook and drop it on Ring List. Its tasks come up to accept at once.
