Undo and redo
Changed something by mistake? Press Undo in the note at the bottom, or the undo arrow at the top of the list. Redo puts the change back.

Take a change back
- Undo in the note: most changes show a note at the bottom of the screen for a moment, such as Task deleted or Moved to “Work”. Tap or click its Undo.
- The arrows: ↶ at the top of the list undoes your last change, and ↷ redoes it. Tap or click ↶ again to go further back, up to 100 steps.
- On a computer: Ctrl+Z (on a Mac, Cmd+Z) undoes. Ctrl+Shift+Z (Cmd+Shift+Z), or Ctrl+Y, redoes.
If what changes back is off the screen, the list scrolls to it and it flashes.
An arrow is grayed out when there’s nothing for it to do.
What it covers
Almost anything you do to a list: finishing, deleting, moving, typing, priorities, dates, notes and attachments. While you’re typing in a task, Undo takes back your typing first.
A task moved to another list can be undone from either list.
On Ring Lists, on a computer, Ctrl+Z (on a Mac, Cmd+Z) brings back lists you deleted, newest first.
When it starts fresh
Each list keeps its own history while Ring List stays open, even while you visit other lists. It starts over:
- when the list is changed on another device, or by someone you share it with;
- when you close or reload Ring List.
All Lists and Today’s Plan start with no history each time you open them.
