Finish or delete a task
Swipe a task right to finish it and left to delete it. On a computer, use its checkbox and its ✕. Undo brings either back.

Finish a task
On a phone
Swipe the task to the right until the ✓ lights up, then let go.
On a computer
Click the task’s checkbox.
The task is ticked off and leaves the list. Finished tasks stay hidden until you turn on Show finished at the top of the list; then they show crossed out at the bottom of their section.
Delete a task
On a phone
Swipe the task to the left until the 🗑 lights up, then let go.
On a computer
Point at the task and click the ✕ at its right end.
It’s deleted at once, with its note and anything attached to it. A note at the bottom says Task deleted, with Undo.
Take it back
- Finished by mistake? Press the undo arrow at the top of the list. Or turn on Show finished, then swipe the task right again, or on a computer untick its checkbox.
- Deleted by mistake? Press Undo in the note, or the undo arrow at the top of the list.
Good to know
- Finishing a task leaves its subtasks open. Deleting it keeps them, as ordinary tasks of its section.
- A repeating task you finish comes back with its next date.
- For a task you’ve decided not to do, there’s Won’t do: it closes the task without calling it finished.
