Ring List Help Open Ring List

Move to Ring List from another app

Bring your lists from Todoist, TickTick, Google Keep and other apps. On Ring Lists, tap the + circle, then import, and choose the file.

The Import card on a phone, with From set to Todoist, the steps for getting the file, what doesn't come over, and the Choose the .zip or .csv file button

You save your lists from the other app as a file, then bring that file into Ring List. Your other app isn’t changed.

Import a file

  1. On Ring Lists, tap or click the dashed + circle at the end of your rings.
  2. Under the name box, tap or click import.
  3. Under From, choose the app. The card shows how to get the file from it, and what doesn’t come over.
  4. Get the file, come back, and tap or click the button at the bottom (Choose the .zip file, for example). Pick the file.

You can pick several files at once. A .zip file can be picked as it is: there’s no need to unzip it.

The apps

Each page says how to get the file and what comes over:

A list you downloaded from Ring List comes back in the same way: choose Ring List under From (see Back up your lists).

What you’ll see

  • Each list from the other app becomes a new list, after your other rings. Some apps’ lists arrive in a group of their own, such as Google Tasks.
  • Nothing is mixed into a list you already have.
  • A message at the bottom says what came in, with Undo. It lasts 10 seconds. After that, you delete the lists yourself: see After an import.
