Keep a habit
A habit is something you do regularly for yourself. Check in each day from the Habits row on Today’s Plan and build a streak.

A habit, like drinking water or stretching, is never due and never overdue. You check in rather than finish it.
Make a habit
On a phone
Tap a task to edit it, tap ⋯, then 🌱 Make it a habit.
On a computer
Right-click a task and choose 🌱 Make it a habit.
Once you have one, a Habits row appears at the top of Today’s Plan. Its last ring, Add a habit, adds another: give it words, choose How often and In the list, then Add.
How often can be Every day, Days of the week, Times a week, Times a month or Times a day.
Check in
Tap the habit’s ring in the Habits row. Tap it again to take it back. In its list, swipe it right, or on a computer click its checkbox.
A habit you do several times a day fills a step each time you tap it (“5 of 8”). One a few times a week counts up until it’s met (“2 of 3 this week”).
The habit card
Tap the habit’s words in the Habits row, or its small ring in its list. The card shows:
- your Streak and your Best;
- this month as dots: filled for the days you kept it, hollow for rest days;
- Check-ins: tap a day to add a note, like “Ran 5k”.
At the bottom:
- Skip today makes today a rest day. Your streak holds.
- Pause… takes it off the Habits row until a day you pick, or Until I come back. The streak waits for you.
- Make it a task again turns it back into a plain task. Its check-ins are kept, in case you make it a habit again.
