Add a task
Tap or click the + on a section’s title, type the task and press Enter. Enter again starts the next one, so you can add several in a row.

Add one
- Open the list.
- Tap or click the + at the right of a section’s title.
- Type the task, then press Enter.
Enter saves it and starts another task below, so you can keep typing one after another. When you’re done, tap or click somewhere else, or press Esc on the empty one. A task left empty isn’t kept.
Where it goes
- + on a section’s title: into that section, after its tasks marked !, !! or !!!. A folded section opens.
- + in the tool bar (at its right end): above all the sections, under a gray To be sorted heading. Move it to a section later, or leave it there.
- Enter at the end of a task you’re editing: right below that task.
To add a task from any page without opening a list, use the tray with a + at the top right. The task goes to your Inbox.
Add several at once
Copied a list from an email, a note or a web page? Paste it into a task you’re editing:
- Each line becomes a task of its own.
- Bullets, numbers and checkboxes are dropped. A line ticked with
[x]comes in finished. - A line indented under another becomes its subtask.
One Undo takes the whole paste back.
